Week XI
It wouldn’t be a road trip without a little bump in the road, right?
During this week I’ve done a lot of stretching and spent a lot of time in my compression sleeve.
Should I have spent less time on my feet and more time sitting back with my feet up? Maybe… While I love having some TLC time, I’m still a gal working in the restaurant industry during Covid-19 and I need monies. So, yes I worked on my feet more than I should have this week. Yes, I picked up a shift and gave myself a double. No, my leg did not enjoy all that work. I’m really great at making things worse before letting them get better.
I really wanted to get outside and run a couple of the days I was off because the weather was freaking beautiful. But you better believe I loved the excuse of not being able to run when it was 40 degrees outside, or when I was hungover from a Christmas party.
Other than work, Christmas parties, and endless cheese boards, I spent this time off watching one of my old favorites: Heartland. It’s a super cheesy horse show filmed in Canada, but since I’ll forever be a horse girl I gotta get my fix.
I also spent time writing out some January goals and my “Bucket List for 2021” which is way more fun and more achievable than a damn New Year’s Resolution list. Screw that.
So, currently still not feeling up to par to start running again. I plan on reevaluating my plan by the middle of next week depending on how my leg feels. There’s your super fun and exciting post about doing nothing. You’re welcome.
