Week XV/XVI
Week 15 was a great week.
But it did start off cold. And I’m a baby about the cold. I’ve been playing tennis on Monday nights and it’s been really fun and rewarding to learn a new sport. However, since it was cold and had been raining all day, tennis was cancelled and… while I could’ve taken this time to do a workout in the gym I decided to stay in the comforts of my pajamas and focus on school and scheduling out my school work for the week. No regrets.
Tuesday and Wednesday I spent time on the treadmill working on inclines and tempo. Another thing I’m thankful for. No hills in Louisiana… because hills are my least favorite thing to do.
I did strength training using the Alive app on Thursday, long run on Friday, and an easy stretch walk on Saturday.
I felt pretty strong both physically and mentally this week.
Week 16 was a little all over the place.
I honestly couldn’t have asked for better weather. Every run I did was in the upper 60’s to low 70’s so a complete 180 from last week. I played some tennis on Monday, started classes back up, and tried to put my main focus to school this week. I ran Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday, and did strength training Thursday and Sunday.
No, I didn’t manage to get my long run in which is disappointing and something I feared once school started back up. The long run is getting pushed to Monday because sometimes life happens and you don’t feel like running 16 miles after getting no sleep.
Planning out next week as I type this so hopefully I can get more organized and be better prepared for mishaps.
Currently feeling like this post is just becoming a brain dump because my mind is all over the place right now, so I’ll end it here.
XOXO,
Amy
